Author

Jaylah Williams

Jaylah Williams is an emerging author whose passion for storytelling began at the age of five when her parents read her bedtime stories. Immersed in books from an early age, her imagination flourished, inspired by the tales she read. A junior high writing contest sparked her interest in writing, fueling her desire to create her own stories.

Now a college student, Jaylah balances her studies with her dream of becoming an author. She aims to evoke the same feelings in her readers that she experienced through books and to ensure authentic representation as an African American woman in her work.

Despite a temporary hiatus, Jaylah has returned to writing with renewed determination. In her spare time, she enjoys devouring books, spending quality time with her family, and catching up on her favorite TV shows.

Jaylah is hopeful to become the author she has always dreamed of and to gain a loyal and supportive readership along the way.

“Absolutely loving this story so far! And not just the plot as a whole, but all the bits and pieces that make it up! Great characters, visibly descriptive scenes and people, and a cohesive story. The pace is steady, not too slow but not rushed either.”

“The character depth and development is perfect. Started the story with enough to make you doubt the FL, then as the story builds you see a whole flipped story unfolding. I love the inner thoughts from Rena. It is rare to find authors who can write a woman this flawed, without making the character seem shallow. The book is a slow burn to self-love.”

“I’ve never read a book with a main character I share so many similarities with, especially the locs! The plot is so intriguing, the characters are compelling, and I can’t stop reading. Honestly, I don’t know if I’ll ever read another book again, just this one over and over.”

“This novel delves into BDSM psychology with a diverse cast spanning countries, genders, and ethnicities. The use of multiple languages adds depth to the narrative. Despite being a certified therapist, the protagonist is portrayed as fallible and vulnerable to manipulation, offering a nuanced portrayal of her struggles with transference.”
